Barrow-in-Furness.
Too little energy to walk to a bin, 2 hours’ research with Barrow Archives brilliant staff, 2-minute beach clean at blustery Biggar Bank & 2 great kids collecting 2 castaway cans. Bye-bye Barrow tomorrow. 😢

Morecambe to Kendal to Ulverston to Barrow-in-Furness. Lancashire into Cumbria. 1 wonderful interview, 2 Wetherspoons, 3 buses, 4 showers and several new recruits. Success! 😀

Amazing interview on BBC Cumbria this morning. Mike Zeller asked some great questions and then allowed me to ‘talk a load of uninterrupted rubbish’ ! Huge thanks to everyone involved for promoting the #1PieceOfRubbish campaign throughout Cumbria….and beyond! 🙏

Trip 18, Day 3. Fulwood to Lancaster to Morecambe. 1 ‘reticent’ recruit, 1 plastic pipe, 1 crumpled can & 2 lovely little lads cleaning the beach……& all in lovely sunshine!

Burnley to Preston to Fulwood on 3 buses. Recruited the beautiful Emma, visited the beautiful Harris Library & arrived at the beautiful Orchard Court for a beautiful night’s sleep!🤞Shared a beautiful story hither & thither. (You do talk rubbish, Ruth!!) 😂

Oldham to Rochdale to Todmorden to Burnley. 3 hours on 3 buses in almost 3 inches of rain for 3 hours’ successful research in Burnley Library. 3 Cheers!! (Think I’ve made at least 3 new ‘recruits’ too!).⏰🚌☔️📚🗑🙌 😀
