Where am I?

Now the fun really begins!
15th July, 2025 and, at the tender age of 80, I’m embarking on my 25th bus pass trip across the country, aiming to pick up 25 pieces of rubbish every day, over a period of 25 days. I’ll probably feel 125 by the end of it!
Wish me luck and watch this space! 🤣

4 buses, 1 boat, 10,475 steps, 4 new recruits, an overflowing litter bin (good or bad sign?), some genealogy research and another glass of Leffe on another lovely day.

Where am I ?

3 trains, 1 bus, 9,899 steps, lots of litter, 3 new recruits, 1 Anchor Guest Room and a delicious Leffe!
Where am I?

“ And She’s off, again, to Beautify Britain!”

A surprise ‘Rubbish Ruth’ endorsement from this wonderful young man who took time and trouble to create and share his video on Facebook. What a great ambassador for the youth of today!Thank you!! 🙏

Cleaning up at Clijah after Redruth United’s spectacular end of season soccer tournament. Over a thousand people of all ages & from all areas cleared their own litter away, leaving only random bits of rubbish blown about by the breeze. Now that’s how to Beautify Britain! 👏👏👏

Yesterday would have been Anne Frank’s birthday. How wonderful it would be for all of us to heed her words and not wait a single moment before starting to improve our world, one piece of rubbish at a time! 🙏 #beautifybritain.
