Poor soul! Possibly couldn’t see well enough to find the bin?
Month: January 2020
Red Bull….
Red Bull – red rag to Rubbish Ruth!
Brrrrrrr!….
Ditching the Doritos at 2 degrees. The show must go on, despite the cold!

I’m there!….
Donation number 91 !! Each unit can help up to 3 people so that’s at least 273 so far…. and I’ve ‘picked up’ lots of free drinks and biscuits in return. Reckon that’s not a ‘rubbish’ trade-off! 😀

Tameside Council Initiative….
Today I was invited to speak at #Tameside Council’s launch of their campaign to rid the streets of litter. A great group of inspirational & dedicated people from all walks of life, totally supported by the council and voluntary agencies, gathered together to support their ‘One Piece Of Litter’ campaign and to discuss future plans. All power to them for some amazing outcomes! #1pieceofrubbish. 💚

Thank you!
This week, due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’, the #1PieceOfRubbish campaign received an enormous and most welcome boost as huge numbers of ‘rubbish’ friends and fellow twitterers mounted a remarkable rally of support. This campaign has always been about improving the environment for every person and every creature, not only in Oldham but throughout the nation and, dare I say, across the world. No-one can do everything but everyone can do something and you have all encouraged that principle by continuing to be loyal and active eco-warriors. Support comes from a wide variety of areas including businesses, commerce, schools, volunteers, charities, local communities and individuals who are all concerned about the environmental quality of our town and country. It has been so rewarding and encouraging to know that the campaign will continue to flourish and grow exponentially, due to the dedication and devotion so recently displayed by you all. Thank you!

Taking the campaign to the Council….
Rubbish Ruth took the campaign to Oldham Council and raised a ‘rubbish’ question at this month’s meeting! The response was limited and lacked detail which was somewhat disappointing. ☹️
Duh-brain!
Despite the sign saying ’Do not feed the pigeons’ some dumbo dumped a whole bag of seed. Duh-brain!
Shameful….
Shameful, shoddy behaviour by someone blatantly not sharing their sunshine snacks with a nearby bin!
2020….
2020 & there’s nothing alien about the rubbish raiding our streets. How I wish it could all disappear into space or, at least, the nearest bin!
